Ambler Park Water System Boil Water Notice
MONTEREY, Calif. – Oct. 8, 2024 – California American Water has issued a Boil Water Advisory for certain residents in its Ambler Park Water System in Monterey County, due to a main break near Barn Owl Court that occurred in the evening on Monday, October 7, 2024. The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water, the Monterey County Health Department and California American Water advise that impacted residents should boil tap water or use bottled water for drinking and cooking until told otherwise.
For drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, or preparing food, the California Division of Drinking Water recommends bringing all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute (rolling boil), and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiling kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

California American Water anticipates resolving the issue within 48-72 hours. Customers will be notified when the boil water notice is lifted.
Free bottled water is being delivered to all impacted customers.

La División de Agua Potable Junta Estatal de Control de Recursos Hídricos, el Departamento de Salud del Condado de Monterey y Cal Am aconsejan a las empresas y residentes solo consumir agua del grifo hervida o agua embotellada para beber y cocinar como precaución de seguridad para evitar enfermedad estomacal o intestinal. Las calles impactadas incluyen: Mtry Salinas Hwy, San Benancio Rd., Paseo Primero, Paseo Seguno, Paseo Tercero, Paseo Cuatro, Paseo De Vaqueros, Paseo Torcido, Paseo Privado (Norte), Corral De Tierra, Paseo Hermoso, Paseo Privado, Eagles Nest Ct., Mtn Quail Rd., Mallard Ct., Pheasant Ct, Barn Owl Ct., Rustic Ln., Big Sky Ln., Harper Canyon y Rimrock Canyon.
