American Water, the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., and its subsidiary Kentucky American Water celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA), a law passed by Congress in 1974 to protect public health by regulating the nation’s public drinking water supply, through 50 days of highlights starting today through December 16.
