Kentucky American Water Now Accepting Applications for 2023 Firefighting Support Grants
Program has provided $91,500 in grants since 2011
Kentucky American Water has announced that applications are now being accepted for the company’s 2023 Firefighting Support Grant program. The program, now in its 12th year, provides financial assistance to uniformed, professional, and volunteer fire departments serving communities in the company’s designated service areas. Grants are awarded to cover the costs associated with purchasing personal protective gear, communications equipment, firefighting tools, water handling equipment, training and related activities/materials that will be used to support community fire protection.
Fire organizations in the company’s 14-county service area (Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Franklin, Gallatin, Grant, Harrison, Jackson, Jessamine, Nicholas, Owen, Rockcastle, Scott, and Woodford counties) are eligible to apply. The deadline to apply is September 1, 2023.
