Virginia American Water and American Water Charitable Foundation Provide Over $181,000 in Statewide Support to Communities in 2023
Alexandria, VA (July 11, 2024) – Recently, Virginia American Water announced its end-of-year charitable total for 2023,. Last year, the company provided over $37,230 through grants, charitable contributions and programming support to 55 organizations across Virginia. In addition, the American Water Charitable Foundation (AWCF) donated $144,100 in grants and employee matching gifts, further impacting communities served by Virginia American Water. Combined, total giving exceeds $181,000.

Virginia American Water employees also engaged in philanthropy of their own, having raised over $26,000 for 58 non-profit organizations in Virginia through the American Water Charitable Foundation's volunteer and matching gift program.
