Opening and Closing Accounts

Hawaii America Water (HAW) accounts are typically NOT opened or closed by the customer.  This is handled through the escrow process associated with the property transfer.  This is because our service to the property is uninterrupted during the property transfer and, as such, the closing of an existing account for the seller must be accompanied by the opening of a new account for the buyer.  For more details

There are few exceptions to this practice, therefore, we ask that both the seller and buyer discuss this process with their escrow agent.
